The True Kind

To love is to ache;

To hide is to fake;

To let go is brave;

To move on is bold

But to ache is to endure

The pain that seems unbearable;

And to fake is about composure,

Holding up yourself even you’re unsure

To be brave is to deal with the present,

Reassuring yourself of what better lies ahead;

To be bold is to trust

That the future cannot be as bad

And day and night

People come and go

But there is one, I say,

The true kind of love that will stay

Not Anyone Else

All day long I wait,

Distracting myself until you’re up awake;

Longing to talk to you, as always

Wanting only you, and not anyone else

You think it’s unfair,

Like I’m turning to you my despair;

You say I am to blame

For whatever I feel like it’s so lame

What you don’t understand is

It isn’t just about me being childish;

Don’t you see it’s only you whom I entrust with

With all the pain I’m ashamed of the world to know

The First Song

Most people hate

The first song that played

The time they met

The one that got away;

Trying to dodge

The memory of past,

Moments that could’ve last

If time and chance have fallen right;

But for me, what I want

Is to accept what is behind,

Reminiscing that song

With peace in my soul;

Because for me there’s no such thing

As love that turns into hate;

Because love is something that

Can never, be ever taken back

Science in Our Daily Lives

This poem I wrote for my cousin’s homework about the importance of science in our daily lives. I know I could have added more, but I rarely talk about intellectual stuff, you know? Hehe just thought this might be a good addition to my collection.

From the heat of the sun,
To the light of the moon at night;
From the air that we breathe,
To the water that sustains us to live

Science has become
The necessity of life
And if it is gone
The world may be stuck in the dark

The wonders of life and nature,
The mysteries of myths and legends,
Through science, we find the answers –
Through science, we comprehend life deeper

Through science, we discovered technology;
Through technology, it made our lives easy;
That made science such an essential
To this awestruck, wonderful existential

Sharing Pain

While I hear you cry over the phone,

My mind tells me I can’t let you go through this alone;

And even as you deny it with your hoarse voice,

The shine your smile always bear gets lost;

Even I don’t see you,

My knees gets weak when you’re feeling blue;

I don’t know what to do,

No idea what I am supposed to say,

But please know that your pain is also my pain,

And I’m open to share it with all of my strength;

If you feel you weak,

Then so be it;

I’m still here, and will support you all the way
